Depression is a common and treatable mental health condition that can affect mood, energy, motivation, relationships, and daily functioning. Many individuals experiencing depression describe persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, fatigue, and difficulty coping with everyday responsibilities. Depression can develop gradually or appear in response to stress, trauma, burnout, major life transitions, postpartum changes, relationship challenges, or health concerns.
Depression therapy provides a supportive, confidential space to better understand what you are experiencing and develop practical tools to improve mood, emotional wellbeing, and quality of life.

Depression can affect mood, thoughts, physical health, and daily functioning. Common symptoms of depression include:
Depression symptoms can range from mild to severe and may impact work, relationships, parenting, and overall mental health. Therapy for depression can help reduce symptoms and improve emotional wellbeing.

When treating depression, I use an integrative approach tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. Together, we work to better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms while developing practical tools to improve mood, emotional wellbeing, and daily functioning.
I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help identify and shift negative thought patterns that can contribute to low mood, self-criticism, and feeling stuck. I may also draw from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills to support emotional regulation and coping during difficult moments.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help you develop a more compassionate relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings while building a life aligned with your values. When depression is connected to relationship challenges, life transitions, or loss, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) can help improve communication patterns and strengthen support systems.
If past experiences or trauma are contributing to depressive symptoms, I may incorporate EMDR Therapy to help process distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming.
My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can gain clarity, build resilience, and begin to feel more like yourself again.
